We collect what we need to sell you a piece and deliver it, and nothing beyond that. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking on this site, and your card details never reach our servers.
Draft pending legal review. This document reflects how Wyns Collections currently operates, but it has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer and is not legal advice. Have it checked against Nigerian consumer-protection and data-protection law (NDPA 2023) before launch.
01What this covers
This explains what personal data Wyns Collections collects when you browse or buy, why we hold it, and who else processes it on our behalf.
If you want a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, write to shop@wynscollections.com and we will action it.
02What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Delivery details: the recipient name, address and phone number on each order.
- Order history: what you bought, what you paid, the currency and exchange rate applied, and the delivery status.
- Saved preferences: your wishlist, saved addresses and the contents of your bag.
- Newsletter subscription: your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
- Technical data your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address, needed to serve the site and keep it secure.
03What we deliberately do not collect
We do not see or store your card number, expiry date or security code. Card entry happens entirely on Paystack’s hosted payment page. What we receive back is a transaction reference, the amount, the currency and whether it succeeded.
04Why we hold it
- To take payment for and fulfil your order — we cannot ship without a delivery address.
- To let you sign in and see your own orders, wishlist and addresses.
- To contact you about an order, including delivery updates and any problem with it.
- To send the newsletter, but only if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep records of completed sales, which we are required to retain.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse of the site.
05Who else processes it
We use a small number of providers to run the store. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles account authentication. Your account, order and address records live here.
- Paystack — processes payments. They receive your email address and the amount to charge, and handle your card details directly.
- Our hosting provider — serves the website itself and processes technical request data.
06How long we keep it
- Order and payment records: retained for as long as we are required to keep financial records.
- Account, wishlist and saved addresses: kept until you ask us to delete your account.
- Guest bag contents: held in a cookie on your own device and discarded after 30 days.
- Newsletter subscription: kept until you unsubscribe.
07Cookies
We use only the cookies the store needs to work. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in.
- A bag cookie that remembers what you added before signing in. It holds product identifiers and quantities only — never prices or payment data.
08Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it.
- Send any of these requests to shop@wynscollections.com.
- You can change your name and phone number yourself in Account → Settings.
- Deleting your account removes your profile, addresses, wishlist and bag. Completed order records are retained as required, but are no longer linked to a live account.
09Security
Access to customer data is restricted at the database level, so one customer cannot read another customer’s orders, addresses or wishlist. Administrative access is limited to accounts we have explicitly granted it to.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority.
10Changes
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top.
